Then one day, with great joy, he felt very accomplished and told Dad about his success. With great wisdom Dad said, “I want you to go to the fence every day that you can control your temper and pull one nail until they are all removed.”

Finally the job was completed and the boy and his Dad looked at the fence. Daddy said, “Look at all the holes you made. This fence will never be the same again. Son, this is just the way it is when you get angry and say or do things to others that hurts them. You make holes in their heart, scars that can never be erased.”

Today you may be the one who feels you have holes in your heart. Due to hasty and angry words that were spoken, you know how badly it hurts. Let me encourage you; Jesus came to heal the broken hearted and set you free. He has seen the tears, heard your cries, and is waiting for you to ask for His help. “Call upon Me and I will answer you.”

Jesus is a lot like this Dad, a wonderful teacher, full of wisdom and compassion. He knows how humans sometimes act and have need of forgiveness, so He has provided the way. Believe on and receive Him as your Lord. He loves you!
