Grandparent's Day…
Since September 13 is a special day for grandparents, I wanted to share a poem I received from my granddaughter last year. While I was hospitalized she sent me an email and included a poem she wrote. My grandchildren are very special to me, and a wonderful treasure. I believe great things will be accomplished through young people in days to come. They are our future parents, church, leaders, politicians, and teachers. Let’s be faithful grandparents to love, pray, encourage and be an example to them.
“A Grandmother’s Strength”
A grandmother is someone special, she is a fighter and sparkles in every situation. She has a way of sticking it out, till it’s all over, because she knows everything will be OK. That’s what she tells everyone, and it is comforting to hear her voice. She was put on this earth to serve Christ and I think she does a great job at it. Her faith is as important to her as her family. She raised lots of kids and grand kids and never got tired of it, because she had the faith to endure through it all. When a grandma gets sick she sticks it out and finishes the fight, cause a grandma doesn’t get pinned down, but merely temporarily stuck in a situation. But that doesn’t last long, because nothing can hold this grandma down. She is strong, and hard working. She is a grandma, and nothing can stop her from living life to the fullest and loving her family. That is why God made her a grandma, a special grandma ... my grandma. “I love you!” (Kellie)
Grandmothers hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.
