He talked to me…

We meet people today and are reminded of the fact that so many folks have such big problems. Oh yes, all the things we all know about like money, jobs, family issues, etc.

To me it presents a question, “What are we, or they, looking for when we pray?“ Are we expecting the Lord to drop the answer in our hands, or to see writing on the wall, or a bright light?

Sometimes we seem to have a special mold, the way we want the answer to arrive. Perhaps He wants to be the Mold Maker.

I believe it is so important to praise and worship Him, for in the midst of praise the avenger is stilled. While I was in praise, in the quietness of my heart, He has spoken answers or directions to me that were priceless.

The Bible has many instances of God communicating to His people. I enjoy the story of Paul and Silas who were imprisoned with their feet placed in stocks. Imagine that, what a time to praise! The other prisoners even heard them! These boys were not ashamed to be heard praising the Lord, and at midnight while they prayed and sang, the prison doors were opened and all their bands were loosed. They not only were freed, but all who were held captive! I doubt that they had a mold for that, but when they worshiped, He talked to them!
