It’s Friday evening and I’m finishing up our newsletter. Somehow this week seemed extra busy – the days were full and the evenings just flew by.

Tonight we received word that a long-time, dear friend unexpectedly went to Heaven. Just last Sunday we saw him – he was happy, smiling – no one would have guessed that in just five days he would see Jesus.

I’m thinking a lot tonight about my own relationships. It’s so easy to get caught up in our own agendas, schedules, and plans. We think we’re too busy to make a phone call, or stop to visit, encourage, and give our loved ones a hug.

However, at the end of the day what matters are the people in our lives – our schedules can be put on hold, our appointments can be changed.

Sometimes we need to re-evaluate our lives and how we spend our time. Tonight I’m making sure my priorities are where they need to be – how about you?
