Right Place, Right Time …

Spring is here again! We have cardinals flying in and out of our pines. They showed up so beautifully in that blanket of white snow this winter. I enjoy them with all their beauty and pretty songs they sing.

A bird makes her nest in the middle of the plants at our front door every spring. They kill the plants; sometimes we aren’t aware they are there until either the plant starts dying, or when we use our front door the bird suddenly flies out. (This makes just a bit of excitement when you are not expecting it.) That is not my choice place for bird nesting!

Just like these birds, have you ever been somewhere where you didn’t belong? I recall one time while travelling, we had directions that led us to a dead end. It seemed we were in the middle of nowhere. It was late at night, the road was narrow, and the church was just over the hill, but the road ended with a ravine in front of us; a barn was on the right and a row of trees on our left. We stopped and wondered how we would get out of this situation. A man, whose house we just passed, walked up behind the bus and asked, “Where are you going?” He was kind and helpful and told us this happens frequently. When we arrived at the church, we could look down over the hill and see where the road ended. You see, there were no directions to tell us we didn’t belong there.

Our Heavenly Father is preparing a place for us, and we can go there … to the right place at the right time! He gives careful directions and details for us. Will you follow Him so we can spend eternity together? Jesus loves you!
